Description

On-line registrations for National Initiative (NI) VII Meeting One are now being accepted.  Team leaders or their designees are required to attend, and all team members are encouraged to attend as schedules and budgets allow.


NI VII Meeting One will be held on Thursday and Friday, October 10th-11th at the Omni Chicago Hotel and will focus on Understanding Teaming.  If your travel plans allow, please join us for an optional 90-minute, highly interactive orientation session on Thursday morning starting at 10:30 am.  This session is designed for all NI VII participants new to the AIAMC National Initiative experience as well as returning participants seeking a jump start.

    

Day one begins on Thursday, October 10th at 12:00 noon with lunch and networking.  Opening Remarks by National Initiative VII Chairman, Dr. Hania Janek will begin at 1:00 pm.  Sessions include:  Setting the Stage:  What is Teaming and What's Not? presented by Dr. Mike Barger, EdD, Executive Director, Office of Strategy and Academic Innovation, Stephen M. Ross School of Business - University of Michigan and Founding Member, JetBlue Airways, table-top exercises and monthly cohort breakouts.  Day one concludes with a wrap up, reception at 5:00 pm, followed by dinner on your own with your team.


Day two begins at 7:00 am on Friday, October 11th with breakfast and institutional team time followed by reflections on day one.  The NI VII Logic Model and Implications for Scholarly Output, table-top exercises and an introduction to the Project Management Plan and NI VII Roadmap will be presented.  Institutional Team Working Time and Meeting One Wrap-Up will round out day two.  Day two concludes at 11:50 directly after closing remarks to allow attendees ample flight opportunities back home.

Optional Orientation to the AIAMC National Initiatives: Lessons Learned and Tips for Success

If your travel plans allow, please join us for an optional 90-minute, highly interactive orientation session on Thursday morning starting at 10:30 am.  AIAMC member colleagues newer to the AIAMC National Initiatives will share What I Wish I Would Have Known at the Start of My First National Initiative Experience, followed by a panel of AIAMC NI “veterans” presenting Lessons Learned and Tips for Success.  There will be plenty of time for questions and open discussion.  This session is designed for all NI VII participants new to the AIAMC National Initiative experience as well as returning participants seeking a jump start.  There is no additional fee for the orientation; however, pre-registration is required.

  • NI VII Meeting One registration closes Tuesday, September 30, 2019
  • Please note all registrations and payments MUST be received by September 30, 2019.  All program materials and on-site meals (with the exception of Thursday night's dinner) are included in your registration fee. 


CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations received prior to September 30, 2019 will be refunded the paid registration fee less $25 for processing. 

Cancellations received after September 30 2019 will not be refunded. 

Late off-line registrations for team leaders will be $50.

Late off-line registrations for team members will be the regular registration rate plus a 20% service charge.
