Do these headlines sound familiar?: US Immigration and Customs Enforcement
(ICE) targeted more than 100 for arrest during an early morning raid…….The
FBI recently confirmed that “immigration enforcement efforts” were underway in
the Denver metro area…….Migrant farm workers are on high alert amid
immigration raids….While these may seem like news reports far removed from
our daily lives, medical education leaders are quickly and anxiously realizing
the impact such policies may have on our house staff work force. Who would have thought when we entered the
profession that we would have to undergo ICE raid training? Do you feel as though you need an advanced
degree in the complexities surrounding J1 and H1B visas? What about the impending March 5th
deadline for rank order lists?
If these headlines and issues are impacting you and your GME enterprise, you won’t want to miss our next AIAMConnect session, to be held Thursday, February 27th at 2:00 pm Eastern.
