Associate Program Director – Hospital Medicine, Internal Medicine Residency

Job Description / Duties

We are seeking an Associate Program Director with a clinical focus on hospital medicine for our planned Internal Medicine residency. The ideal candidate is an experienced clinician and educator with strong communication and leadership skills. The BHSF Internal Medicine residency will emphasize teaching our residents to provide high-quality and high-value patient and family centered care while supporting a culture of lifelong learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and teamwork.  Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine and must have experience in both hospital medicine and graduate medical education. We particularly welcome candidates with interest and experience in quality improvement, curriculum development, faculty development, and/or scholarship in hospital medicine.

In addition to providing direct patient care and supervising residents and students in the hospital setting, the Associate Program Director will have dedicated time to assist the program director with program development, securing accreditation, resident education, faculty development, scholarly activity, and community engagement with physicians and hospital administrators. This physician will also work in collaboration with our BHSF Graduate Medical Education team to ensure standards, quality, and growth of the program.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Candidate must also be able to provide references focusing on quality, patient centered care, and excellent leadership skills including team building and collaboration in a multidisciplinary team environment.
