Village of Olympia Fields, IL- WittKieffer has partnered with Franciscan Health Olympia Fields (FHOF) on its search for their next Designated Institution Officer (DIO). Located in the South Suburbs of Chicago, in the Village of Olympia Fields, Illinois, FHOF is part of Franciscan Alliance, a 12-hospital integrated delivery system which serves patients in Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan. FHOF is seeking a DIO who will transform, grow and enhance the organization's twelve Graduate Medical Education Programs that include 175 residents/fellows. 

FHOF seeks a dynamic physician leader and educator with a passion for education to be responsible  for all current and new graduate medical education (GME) programs at FHOF. Reporting directly to FHOF's Chief Executive Officer, the DIO will have oversight and executive managerial responsibility for FHOF's twelve ACGME and AOA accredited graduate medical education residency and fellowship programs which include; Cardiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Gastoenterology, General Surgery, Hemotology/Oncology, Internal Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Orthopedics, Radiology, Rhuematology and Urology. 

The DIO will develop a strategic approach to GME and advocate for the academic programs within and outside of FHOF, improve and develop clinical rotations within FHOF and will collaborate with administration to collate and evaluate all annual program evaluations for each program to produce an Annual Intuitional Report (AIR). She/He will also monitor and provide oversight of faculty development within each program.

She/He is responsible for providing leadership, strategic and financial planning spanning across all GME ensuring that FHOF residents and fellows are capable of providing high quality, patient centered medical care. The DIO will be recognized as the internal and external champion for the GME mission for FHOF and will promote FHOF GME in stature and performance within local, regional and nationally based markets. 

The DIO will have demonstrated ability and confidence to propose and advance educational initiatives involving ACGME and AOA policies and procedures for the accreditation and re-accreditation of residency and fellowship programs. The successful candidate will demonstrate national recognition for productivity and achievement in scholarly activity, research and education.  She/He will establish a clear path for all learners including CME.

She/He will need to possess exceptional relational and team-building skills in order to work across disciplines, departments and the health system to orchestrate and drive a system-wide focus on the GME mission.  She/He must communicate goals and objectives across the organization and within the GME enterprise. It is very important that the DIO be a team player and a visible leader. The successful candidate will be an M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O. or D.O./Ph.D. with significant experience in GME and will have a demonstrated track record of championing excellence, leading change and fostering engagement.
