General Surgery Program Director
Job Description / Duties
Bayhealth Medical Center is looking for an experienced surgeon with academic experience for the position of Program Director of our General Surgery Residency Program that started in 2022. We also have IM and FM residencies that started in 2021 and EM that started in 2023. We just welcomed our first hematology/oncology fellows this year with anticipated additional fellowships to be added.
In addition to leadership of the General Surgery Residency Program you would join a hospital-based group of general surgeons in Dover. Bayhealth Kent Campus is also in the process of scaling our trauma designation from a Level III to a Level II Trauma Center. The position would entail general surgery, trauma call and the opportunity to develop any other special interests you may have. Our ED at Kent currently sees 50,000+ visits per year. We have Neurosurgery, CT Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Radiology on staff.
