Director of Medical Education

Job Description / Duties

Reporting to the CMO of the Baptist Health Center for the Advacement of Learning, the Director will direct the centralized functions and staff of various strategic medical education programs across the organization. Will provide administrative direction for undergraduate and graduate medical education strategic planning and programming. In collaboration with the CMO, program directors, and system-wide executive leadership will facililate the development of resident physician graduate medical education (“GME”) programs at various facilities to support clinical operations. 

Qualifications / Required Skills

Masters in Business Administration.

Minimum 5 years of medical education experience and leadership experience required.

Excellent verbal/written communication skills, analytical skills and relationship building.

Preferred experience:

Advanced knowledge of ACGME institutional and programmatic accreditation requirements.

TAGME certification preferred.

We are seeking a Director of Medical Education who will oversee the medical education office team, work closely with the CMO/DIO, and collaborate with program leadership and staff to ensure a successful rollout of the GME expansion and the continued accreditation of existing residency and fellowship programs. The preferred candidate will be an experienced, TAGME certified GME professional who is passionate about supporting the education and development of the next generation of physicians into highly skilled clinicians who emphasize high quality, patient and family centered care, lifelong learning, and a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork.
