Baptist Health South Florida
(BHSF) is launching new medical residency and fellowship programs in South
Florida. These programs will provide clinical and didactic education in a high-tech,
and high-touch environment. Working in conjunction with our Baptist Health
Medical Group and academic affiliate Florida International University, we are
developing a new General Surgery residency program.
Our medical group seeks
a Program Director to found a General Surgery Residency Program. We seek an
experienced academic who is committed to providing a high standard of patient
care and passionate about advancing the field of general surgery. This
Program Director will have responsibilities that include program development, securing
accreditation, resident education, faculty development, scholarly activity, and
community engagement with physicians and hospital administrators. This physician will also work in
collaboration with our BHSF Graduate Medical Education (GME) team to ensure standards,
quality and growth of the program.
Ideal physicians must be a Florida licensed physician or at minimum a U.S
licensed physician, with board certification in General Surgery. Physician must
also have a minimum of five years of clinical experience in general surgery,
with at least three years of teaching and administrative experience as a faculty
member of an accredited GME program.
